Sunrise
A slight cold breeze stirred my sleepy eyes. The distant call of a bird and the soft morning light. Awake.
The first light of dawn washed over the entire land,
stretching it’s soft radiance into the hidden corners of a tree,
where curious tiny birds emerged from their cozy nests.
The air was cool, refreshing and delicious.
Lush trees danced to the rhythm of the wildflowers...

Amidst Colours
Just as dawn breaks, after a heavy storm,
with the scent of flowers in the air,
the grass, the wet-earth, the streams,
while the tall tree laden with flowers shakes itself,
spreading a soft path of gleaming yellow flowers,
a glorious day leading me ever so gently,
to a sunset, a hint of a rainbow, and,
the calls of hundred birds as they fly home,
and as surrounded by the ripeness of...

A Memory in the Sun
Letters on paper, with a cup of tea,
daisies like sunshine smile upon me,
tiny twinkling lights,
and balloons in the blue sky,
while gentle breeze in my ear whispers,
as soft as the dusting of sunshine on the hills.
Wishing that each day may bring you wonder & love,
and a spring in your step as every tree bursts forth,
in abundance with exquisite color and life.

Where the beauty lies
If spring came but once a century instead of once a year,
or burst forth with the sound of an earthquake
and not in silence,
what wonder and expectation there would be
in all the hearts to behold the miraculous change.

An Afternoon Tea with Cake and Sunshine
“There are few hours in life
more agreeable than the hour
dedicated to the ceremony
known as afternoon tea.”
~Henry James
While the past year flew away before i could say tink,
this year, i know is here to stay even after i blink.
Ever since the clock struck twelve,
i have gracefully stepped into a true wonderland.
Suddenly every detail is more...

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
~ Clement Clarke Moore
As i watch the twinkling lights and the golden moon in silent bliss,
with chocolate , fire and a wonderful family to share it with;

Warm Reminiscence
Winter is the time for comfort,
for good food and warmth,
for the touch of a friendly hand and
for a talk beside the fire:
it is the time for home.
~Edith Sitwell
The endearing adorableness above is an enchanting tale,
i wish to save for another glorious day.
Keep Dreaming.

Down the Lane
“When I go out into the countryside
and see the sun and the green
and everything flowering,
I say to myself Yes indeed,
all that belongs to me!”

Happy December!
As i feel extremely blessed to have a lovely family,
and exceptionally grateful for vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate,
I hope that love, pudding and sweaters keep you...

Blues and Pinks
These days the sky is mostly a soft shade of blue.
In the evenings though,it turns a delicate pink
and i know that it is time for sunset.
This cold weather …
be it with the sudden showers of rain,
or the complete lack of bright natural light,
somehow always seems to warm my heart,
in the most unfathomable and unexpected ways.
Each day i am more grateful for this...

Pan Roasted Vegetables and Millet Pudding
It was a peaceful day.
Windows and doors were wide open, while clean & fresh air filled the house.
Sunshine danced in the trees and pretty clouds floated over the mountains.
Squirrels darted in and out of plants and birds chattered away on their own.
A silent leaf fell from the tree, while a dragon fly tried to escape it.
From the farmer’s market, beautiful vegetables and fruits sat on...

Snow and Sun
As the snow topped town sleeps,
and sighs away the cold nights,
A dawn arises so bright,
and warms our hearts with a sunrise.
Hope you have a pleasant day.

Last Winter
“How like a winter hath my absence been.
From thee, the pleasure of the fleeting year!
What freezings have I felt, what dark days seen,
What old December’s bareness everywhere!”

Pudding.
A day of perfect light,
and warm sun rays.
Apple,mint,dry fruits and chocolate,
with scents of ground spices wafting through the air.
A melting dessert we happily ate,
and watched the candle dance away the evening flame.
View on flickr.
Hope these wonderful colors help spread smiles all around.
Happy Friday!

Goodbye Summer.
Then followed that beautiful season…
Summer….
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.
