Blues and Pinks

These days the sky is mostly a soft shade of blue.

In the evenings though,it turns a delicate pink 

and i know that it is time for sunset.

This cold weather …

be it with the sudden showers of rain,

or the complete lack of bright natural light,

somehow always seems to warm my heart,

in the most unfathomable and unexpected ways.

Each day i am more grateful for this beautiful life and the blessings it brings.

And also for steaming soups and moist cakes, i must add.
