Sunrise

A slight cold breeze stirred my sleepy eyes.The distant call of a bird and the soft morning light.

Awake.

The first light of dawn washed over the entire land,

stretching it’s soft radiance into the hidden corners of a tree,

where curious tiny birds emerged from their cozy nests.

The air was cool, refreshing and delicious.

Lush trees danced to the rhythm of the wildflowers surrounding them.

The changing sky looked like a painting in progress.

Feathery white clouds slowly turned into light pink and orange,

reflecting the certain promise of a beautiful star on it’s way.

The last drops of dew hung from the ends of leaves and grass,

sparkling like hidden diamonds waiting to be consumed by the light.

To my left, a pair of squirrels chased each other,

while a flock of mysterious birds disappeared behind the hills.

The hills carried the evidence of spring’s grand treasure,

 in heaped piles of bushes and flowers with dense patches of colours.

I smiled, leaned my head against the wood and closed my eyes.

The weather so pleasant and familiar, i immersed myself in the surroundings.

Feeling, knowing and living the vibrations of brilliant life around me.

The cold thread of breeze turned warm and

little golden lights flickered behind my closed eyelids.

During my silent state of profound inner peace,

the world had changed,

bathed in shimmering golden light, it smiled back at me.

Sunrise.

The magnificent star began the ascent in a sea of molten gold,

it’s warm rays reaching into every part of the earth,

illuminating the deepest and most intricate designs of a lily.

My heart filled with the beauty which my eyes beheld,i felt extremely privileged and blessed.

As i went inside, i turned back once last time.

The sun-drenched land was still breathtakingly beautiful.

Pure, safe and simple.

This is just how life ought to be.
